Welcome!
I am Claire, a Transformational Coach based in Berlin

After almost two decades working in the defense of human rights using international law, I became a fully accredited coach in 2020.

We know that brainstorming with a colleague around a defined problem or goal is an effective, rewarding strategy that brings about creative thinking. Coaching is creating that time and space for your own challenges.

Whether you are dealing with a career change or need clarity of direction, whether you want to overcome challenges or are going through major changes, having a designated time where you can be heard, engaged with and reflect can make a world of difference.

This is equally true if you are a leader in need of support to reach your desired impact by working on your leadership style and executive skills.

My role is to accompany you in your thinking process, give you dedicated attention, bring you to a place of deeper introspection, challenge you to see new perspectives, and pragmatically work towards the change you want to create in your life. I can also work as your accountability partner.

Transformational Coaching can provide empowerment, resilience, affirmation, self-awareness and growth.

My coaching is the natural continuation of my human rights career and I am passionately convinced of its impact. It brings me joy!

Having coached over 800 hours of one-on-one sessions, mostly with women in the human rights, legal and activism field internationally, I witness how the emancipation, clarity and resilience that result from coaching increase people’s ability to bring about change for larger communities

My point is to create the conditions for people to uncover for themselves their solutions and best way forward.

I try to help identify and challenge what are the tensions, patterns and limiting beliefs that come in the way. To develop an awareness for these dynamics can already reduce their impact on us.

Please note that I am not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. If you are dealing with trauma, mental health conditions, or other serious challenges, I encourage you to seek support from a qualified therapist or healthcare provider.

From my on-going legal career in human rights and social justice, my understanding of systems of power and privilege informs my coaching

In practice it means that, as a coach, I will not dismiss, but instead acknowledge and work with the inequalities, systems of oppression, historical and social contexts that people face, or have internalized.

Ignoring discrimination can perpetuate its oppression. While recognizing and challenging it can serve to emancipate

Coaching has mostly been developed in privileged Western spheres, and often with a corporate focus. I try to unpack what a politically-informed and critical perspective can bring to coaching.

My initiative “Accessible Coaching for Social Justice” was selected as one of the six ‘Coaching for Social Impact’ projects of the Animas Impact Incubator started in 2022 by Animas Centre for Coaching, one of the UK’s leading coaching insitutions.

Who is it for?

My clients and I work on clarifying intentions and regaining agency over decisions. We can also work pragmatically on what needs to get done. I coach on challenges that include:

  • Career change and professional deadlocks
  • Leadership styles & values, executive function skills
  • Work-life balance and burnout
  • Self-confidence and impostor syndrome
  • Anxiety and stress management
  • Communication breakdowns and conflicts

Quote Naomi

There is no way – no way – I would be at the mental place I am now if it wasn’t for our sessions.
Meeting Claire has been a life-changing experience.
She has guided me, with kindness, thoughtfulness and an always open mind, on a journey to understanding myself, my goals and my direction.
